Horticulture
Through our Akonya Farm project, we seek to improve nutrition and strengthen the resilience of vulnerable rural households in Rusinga Island, and this is expected to be achieved through the integration of fish farming ( aquaculture) and horticultural production. 30 smallholder households are benefiting directly from the project activities (45 mixed groups preferably women and marginalized subsistence farmers) and 150 young young children with special needs.
School Based Support Project
The prime aim of school-based support services is to enhance student learning by interweaving continuous teacher professional development, school-based curriculum development and school development. We liase with two Schools (Nyamuga Primary and Nyamuga Special School) to reach out to students equipping their skills in;

Physiotherapy for the disabled Children
Through Disabled Persons Project we work for children with disabilities At Nyamuga Special School. The school consist of 64 children who are disable. At School, we rely on support of Support staff and volunteers who come and be of help. The school tries to help them access services that would enable them to improve the quality standard of their lives. Additionally the project aims to promote awareness of quality among people with disabilities and others in the community.
Sports and Talent Project
Akonya intends to provide sporting opportunities and facilities to 1000 children and youth in marginalized conflict areas in Kenya ,also using sports to nurture talent, increase school attendance, fight radicalization ,promote peace, fight early marriages for the girl child and limit recruitment of young women to sexual trade.
